Services & Fees

SURGERY REQUIREMENTS

All healthy cats and dogs over the age of 8 weeks and weighing at least 2 pounds are eligible for surgery.

All animals receive the following:

  • Brief veterinarian exam
  • Sedation and pain medication
  • General Anesthesia
  • Surgery performed by a Licensed Veterinarian
  • Tattoo on tummy
  • Bedtime snack after recovery
  • Take home pain medication
  • Tender loving care

PAYMENT

Full payment is due at check-in. We accept cash, credit and debit cards. Sorry, no checks! Yakima Humane Society gift certificates can be made out in any amount. Certificates may be purchased in person at our clinic or over the phone.

VACCINATIONS & OTHER SERVICES

Vaccinations and other services are offered at the time of surgery only. Yakima Humane Society Spay & Neuter Clinic does not provide full-service or follow-up veterinary care. Please contact your veterinarian for ongoing wellness services.

In order to maintain a flea-free environment for all of our guests, all pets that arrive for surgery are inspected for evidence of flea infestation. If your pet is found to have fleas, it may be given CAPSTAR ® flea treatment at an additional $5.00 charge to you.

† Antibiotics will be prescribed for conditions discovered after admission, such as respiratory or skin infections. Medication will be determined and prescribed by the Veterinarian.

†† Capstar is mandatory if fleas are noted in the surgical area.

Rabies Vaccination is required for all animals over 12 weeks of age. Requirement waived if proof of current rabies vaccine is presented. Must provide Rabies certificate, tags are not accepted.
