Newland went to the SunDome for the March Muttness event and did amazing! He was quiet for the whole event and walked with both the staff and the public. Newland had no issue being petted or approached by the crowd while kenneled and loved getting treats. He was chill and laid back in his kennel all night simply watching all the action.
Meet Newland, a 4-year-old male Husky/Malamute mix.
Newland is a super handsome fellow with a fairly chill personality. He is very large at 89 pounds and may gain a little more weight since being neutered. Newland is happy to hear a squeaky toy and will sit on command to get one. He has done well on his leash and would love a home that is interested in daily walks.

A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
